RSS server?

I'd like to set up an RSS server (publisher) at home.  Ideally I want the thing to monitor a directory or tree and then automagically publish new files that show up in an RSS feed.  The end goal is to subscribe my podcast application to that RSS feed, so that I can pull audio files down to my phone as needed easily.

What I'm *not* looking for is a tool to aggregate existing RSS feeds.  This is something to publish to my own remote phone some content that I have on my home server already, in a form (RSS) that my existing client-side tools can access more easily than web or FTP or SMB (all of which I already have).  Ideally it will hav a VERY small memory footprint, but that's an optimization.

Any ideas?

Thanks - Pete

Re: RSS Server

Have you looked at www.dircaster.org?  It may be a little heavier than what you're looking for, and I haven't actually used it, but it seems to fit the bill.
