Healthy Recipes

Thanks to allrecipe.com for a great baked flounder recipe.  My wife made it tonight and it was great. It's healthy, relatively low-cal, and GOOD for you!

Give it a try! I'm going to try to post the recipes that we promote through the podcast each week...assuming I remember, of course.  :)

Eat up!

Chicken and Spinach Lasagna

Thanks to our friends at Weight Watchers, here's another (or so I'm told) great recipe!

http://www.weightwatchers.com/food/rcp/RecipePage.aspx?recipeid=108401

Don Sullivan, co-host of 1 Meal - 1 Workout, recommends it. You may or may not know this...I'm allergic to poultry. Let me know how the recipe is!

Black Bean & Corn Salad

This one comes straight from my wife's blog! This stuff is awesome. The only danger is the chips...you gotta watch and make sure you don't end up eating too many chips. My solution for this?

PILE ON THE STUFF!

The nice thing about this "salad"...it's more of a dip in my opinion...is that it's pretty darn healthy for you, so you can really chow down on it and not be guilty like you would with queso or french onion dip.

Enjoy!

Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas

Okay...if I could eat poultry (which I can't), then I would definitely eat this!

Vegan Manicotti

Tofu?  No way!  Yes way!

Another recipe from Don. I'm actually looking forward to trying this (non-chicken) recipe. Don say's it rocks!

We tried it!

Tonight we tried the Vegan Manicotti. It was...interesting. Not bad at all (I'm taking leftovers to work tomorrow), but definitely not the "real thing" either.

Super Spinach Smoothie

Thanks to Dr. Oz and the Fit2Fat2Fit guy for the Super Spinach Smoothie.  Don't turn your nose up at it until you've tried it!

Spinach smoothie? Sounds gross, right? NOT AT ALL! You have to try this! (And if you leave out the peanut butter and protein powder, it's not even 1 WW point!)

Pesto Shrimp Farfalle

What's "farfalle" you ask?  Good...that mean's I'm not the only that had no idea what "farfalle" was.  It's bowtie pasta.  I know, why didn't they just call it bowtie pasta? I have no idea!

But either way, it's supposed to taste great! From Weight Watchers, of course.

Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich

Who likes a good Philly Cheese Steak? A better question might be, who doesn't? No one, right?

Weight Watchers does it again:

Garlicky Baked Butternut Squash

I'm not sure if "garlicky" is a real word, but I AM sure that this dish tastes great. It's got a little olive oil and some parmesan cheese, but other than that, it's a baked vegetable!  In other words, great for you.

Enjoy!
